In the latest update to the Google Play Developer Policy, it has been stated that all apps must have a privacy policy both within the application itself and linked in the Google Play store, as shown below.

Developing a privacy policy for a mobile application can be time consuming and expensive. How expensive? The last time I requested a quote from a lawyer it was roughly $1200.00. From what I would guess, yet already know, many students would not have those kinds of funds.

On top of this – going by my own experience and research over the past few years – the process of publishing an application on app stores as well as writing particular clauses found in the typical mobile application privacy policy requires a developer to include their office address. For many including myself as a developer, this is typically their home address as we do not own commercial office space.

So, in line with our values of keeping coding accessible to every student, AaronTutorsMe will generate a privacy policy for each app that a student develops throughout their classes with AaronTutorsMe and distributes via our Google Play Developer page.

To keeping coding accessible,
